Who’s ready for some learning?
In case you missed out on our Learning Summit in Pittsburgh, don’t panic. There’s another one coming your way September 17-18 in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Institute for Career Development got plenty of positive feedback about the online learning opportunities in Pittsburgh and will roll out a very similar agenda in Des Moines.
Who’s in the lineup?
National partners ToolingU, Penn Foster, Rosetta Stone, and L&O (Live and Online) will interact with our members about their online programs and how each benefits our Steelworkers. We’ll also have a conversation about the Free College benefit with Eastern Gateway Community College. It’s legit, folks, and it’s available to any USW due-paying members and their extended family. You can earn an associate degree with no out-of-pocket cost! You won't want to miss that presentation.
Finally, we’ll top it off with an optional tour of the nearby USW Local 310L/Bridgestone – Des Moines Learning Center on Wednesday afternoon.
